Acceptable Use Policy
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It exists for the same reason a shop has house rules: every shop on Fadelio shares the platform's reputation, deliverability and security — so the standard is written down, and it applies to everyone equally.
1The spirit of it
Run your real shop, for your real clients, the way you'd run it face to face.
Everything below is that one sentence, made specific. If you're doing ordinary barbering — taking bookings, selling products, texting your own clients — nothing here will ever touch you.
2Never
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights — including selling services or goods you may not lawfully sell.
- Mislead consumers: fake reviews, hidden fees, prices that change after booking, services you don't actually provide.
- Spam. Marketing only to people with a lawful basis under PECR (your own clients, or real consent), never to a bought, borrowed or scraped list — and the STOP mechanism and suppression list must never be circumvented (Terms §8).
- Process a payment that isn't yours — the Stripe account is for your shop's own takings, not for moving money for anyone else.
- Upload malicious code, or use the platform to attack anyone else's systems.
3Content standards
Content you publish through Fadelio — photos, descriptions, offers, your lookbook — must be yours to use (Terms §10), honest about what you sell, and lawful to show the general public. Where a photo shows a person, you have their consent. No hate, no harassment, no sexual content — your booking site is a shop window on the open web, and children see it.
4Protecting the platform
- No probing or overloading: don't scan, stress-test or attempt to bypass the platform's security or rate limits. (Found a vulnerability honestly? We'd genuinely like to hear — Responsible Disclosure.)
- No scraping or harvesting of other shops' data, other shops' clients, or the platform's content.
- No reselling, copying or reverse-engineering the platform — your subscription runs your shop; it doesn't license building a competitor from the inside.
- No shared logins with people outside your business, and no using another shop's account.
5How we enforce it
Proportionately. For most problems we'll tell you what we're seeing and ask you to fix it (Terms §16 gives you 14 days for a material breach). We may pause a specific capability — a campaign, an upload — while we talk. Where something creates immediate legal, security or deliverability risk for other shops, we can act first and explain straight after. We'd always rather keep a shop than lose one; the policy exists so the conversation is fair.
